Volunteers can attend a training Saturday, Dec. 3 to become a Green Kent Steward. The training is from 9 a.m. to noon at Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N. Becoming a steward is a way to give back to the community and ensure Kent's rban environment is healthy and sustainable. No experience is necessary. Gloves and tools are provided. Register for the orientation and learn how you can adopt a restoration project at a park or natural area you care about. The Green Kent Partnership is a collaboration between the city of Kent, the Kent community, and Cascade Land Conservancy to restore and maintain the natural areas and parks of the city.
