It is hard to get really excited about choosing to tax yourself, but I will vote to support Kent's Proposition 1 for our roads and parks.

With 20 days to go until the Nov. 6 election, the first results of the KCTS 9 Washington poll indicate that the candidates for Washington State governor are in a dead heat with Jay Inslee at 47.9 percent and Rob McKenna at 44.7 percent.

Suggesting a better way

Regardless of who wins in this year's elections, I have some suggestions for 2016.
